Traphagen Speaker Series
The Traphagen Distinguished Alumni Speakers Series was generously founded 25 years ago by the late Ross E. Traphagen Jr. ’49. Its aim is to bring students and alumni together for informal conversations about different career paths.
The 2020-2021 Traphagen Series will take place virtually via Zoom Meeting. Student participants will meet face-to-face with alumni speakers in a small group setting and will have the opportunity to ask questions live.

PILAC Fireside Chat with Dr. Anton Petrov
Anton’s research has been focusing on international humanitarian law and theories of international law-making. He holds a Ph.D. from Freie Universität Berlin and an LL.M. from NYU Law School. Anton was a researcher at the Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 700 Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood. He was also a visiting scholar at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law and the Max Planck Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. In 2020, his monograph Expert Laws of War – Restating and Making Law in Expert Processes was published by Edward Elgar.
